Uncle William Edu & Agri Enterprises has great pleasure in informing you that we have reinstituted our popular educational program that orients students to the realities of commercial poultry and egg farming – with its primary focus on quail production in Singapore.

The new program is built on six successful years of experience with farm visits specially tailored to the needs of school children. These popular educational farm visits have been a great success since 1998, when the company instituted them with the encouragement of Dr Seet A.M. and the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore. The response has always been fantastic: Children especially enjoyed them, but teachers, too, found the visits highly informative.

Responding to the threat of Avian flu to the Singapore poultry industry, we recently suspended our farm visits to minimize the risk of transmitting the virus from farm to farm in the event that the virus is accidentally introduced here.

Not easily discouraged from our educational objective, though, the Company has established an off-farm education facility at Farmart Centre in April 2004. Here, set deep in Singapore’s agricultural country, students can learn all about the workings of this economically vital industry.

Our instructor, Mr William Ho, best known to his students as “Uncle William”, is the Executive Director of Lian Wah Hang Farm Pte Ltd as well as of this Company.

Uncle William’s 20 years of game-bird farming experience provides a solid knowledge basis for his presentations. In fulfilling his strong passion for educating young people he has adopted the philosophy that learning is best when the experience is fun and interesting as well as informative and authoritative.
