LIAN WAH HANG FARM PTE LTD (LWH farm), which UNCLE WILLIAM is form as a subsidiary, is cast out from the Parent Company LIAN WAH HANG to take the responsibility to be Singapore first fully integrated commercial Game Bird farm and also a platform for launching turnkey projects. The farm major activities are to develop new strains and clematises new species of birds to further propagate into grand parent stock to generate the commercial stock to be sold as breed, layer or meat into the market locally or abroad. As a fully integrated farm, the farm handles all the entire process from breeding egg, incubation and, all the way to direct retailing.
Agro-tourism and Education tours are now new branches of the farm. The management realized the importance of education especially the younger generation. Singapore as a very urbanized country, the young lack the experience and knowledge of nature. Thus the best way for children to learn and understand is to bring them to nature to experience, smell, touch, and to appreciate it. Therefore the farm had allocated an area for public and schools to visit and conduct classes.
Recently due to the Bird Flu, the farm now stop all visits thus channel all groups to the subsidiary at Farmart Centre. Uncle William will conduct and organize workshop, events and tours in Farmart Centre or to the other non-bird farms in Lim Chu Kang and Neo Tiew Area. |
